For most of us, the red yellow and blue balloons on theWonder Bread wrapper bring back fond memories of our childhood.   Wonder has been a household name for generations and for the last 80 years the Wonder name has meant quality.  Wonder Bread is owned by Interstate Bakeries Corporation (IBC), with headquarters in Kansas City, Missouri. IBC is the largest national wholesale baker and distributor of fresh delivered bread.  In addition to Wonder Bread, the IBC product line includes Home Pride, Beefsteak, Good Hearth, Bread du Jour, Merita, Butternut, Parisian, Colombo, Di Carlo, Millbrook, Eddy's, Braun's, Sweetheart, Cotton's, Holsum, J.J. Nissen, Marie Callender's, Mrs. Cubbison's, Hostess, Dolly Madison and Drake's. The Company also sells dry products and is a baker and distributor of Roman Meal, Sun Maid and Sunbeam.

Baking and distributing the company's well-known national and regional brands is an elaborate task and takes thousands of dedicated employees - 34,000 to be exact. It takes a hard-working group of bakers, delivery drivers, quality assurance and other important folks to make sure we deliver the freshest, highest-quality product possible.

World Balloon will begin operating the Wonder Bread National balloon program to celebrate Wonder Bread's 80th anniversary in May of 2001.  For 2001, the balloon tour will see the Wonder balloon flying at balloon events and doing community events in the many cities where IBC facilities are located.

Look for the hot air balloon with the red yellow and blue balloons at events near you and help us celebrate the 80th birthday of Wonder Bread. Also, look for the many IBC fine products including Wonder Bread, at stores nationwide.
